Paisley’s annual music and arts festival is upon us once more, and this year’s line-up features legends of Motown, rock and dance.
The headline act for this year is Martha Reeves & The Vandellas who will play a show in Paisley Town Hall on Saturday 20 October 2018. These Motown legends, famous for hit songs Dancing in the Street, Jimmy Mack and Heatwave, will be supported on the night by the London African Gospel Choir who will perform Paul Simon’s Graceland. Definitely a show not to missed!
Legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi will also appear at Paisley Town Hall (Friday 12 October) to talk about his life and career in music – a must for any fan of heavy metal and rock music. The town hall will also play host to the National Whisky Festival (Saturday 13 October) – Scotland’s best celebration of all things uisge-beatha and a definite festival highlight for any fan of our national drink.
The main festival line-up includes gigs by Tracyanne & Danny, Wolfgang Flür, The Wandering Hearts, The Orb, Vieux Farka Touré, The Leisure Society, Duke Special, Big Minds, Gillebrìde MacMillan, Gang of Four and Aidan Moffat & RM Hubbert. Click here for details of the line-up.
The main venue for the festival is the fabulous Spiegeltent which will be situated in County Square, in the very centre of Paisley, for the duration of the event.
