St Mirren travelled to Aberdeen today and came away with a 2-2 draw. Saints were twice ahead, but then Aberdeen’s Sam Cosgrove’s 15th goal for the Dons in 14 games rescued a Scottish Premiership point for Aberdeen.
Duckens Nazon put Saints in front from the penalty spot before Lewis Ferguson headed in an equaliser.
Aberdeen defender Tommie Hoban was stretchered off before Saints’ Kyle McAllister scored.
But Sam Cosgrove evened things up again, and no matter how Aberdeen tried for a winner, the goal would not come.
Today’s result in Aberdeen brings to an end St Mirren’s six-game losing run in the Premiership, but they remain bottom, and trail Hamilton and Dundee by five points. Meanwhile, Aberdeen stay third, five points behind Rangers in second.
