Killer Instinct is back at The Bungalow again on Friday night, 13 May, after a great gig last time round. The band’s attention to detail which includes The Killers own famous ‘K’ keyboard stand makes the show and features authentic tones and sequenced studio sounds to emulate ‘The Killers’ – above all though, the musicianship, energy and a set full of great songs all adds up to a great night. Local band Mr Db is the support. Tickets are available on the night and doors are 7.00pm.
The John Charles Band are playing Saturday 14 May from 2.00pm and entry is free. The band play a load of nostalgic tunes from the past and every one is a winner.
The Southmartins are playing at The Bungalow on Saturday night, and it is just about sold out. The Southmartins have carved themselves a unique niche in the tribute scene since forming in late 2009. Playing fast and loose with the back catalogues of the Housemartins and the Beautiful South (and the occasional foray into Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott’s more recent hits) the band manage to not only bring the sound of these two hugely successful British bands to their shows but also pull off the neat trick of making many of the songs their own with energetic, soulful interpretations and playful arrangements. Very much a band to involve the audience along the way, expect a great big singalong to classic hits such as Happy Hour, Good as Gold, Perfect 10, Rotterdam, Caravan of Love and many more. Limited tickets available on the door and they open at 7.00pm.
Sunday’s Open Stage starts at 3.00pm and doors are 2.00pm.
On Wednesday The Harsh and Snatch-Back tour hits The Bungalow. The band have been playing across France and abroad, opening for international artists like Inglorious, Loudness and Anvil. You can pay on entry and doors are 7pm.
Thursday will probably the biggest night ever for The Bungalow Introducing Nights. And no wonder the cracking line up is Hollie P, Sophie Tonner, Klaise and The Sankaras. They are an enigmatic, exceptionally talented group of musicians and performers, who have come together to share their love and appreciation for this inspirational supergroup.
